Mix-It Up (Cocktail & Martini Tasting), Washington DC… More details to follow… We are soliciting donations from businesses and individuals for prizes for our upcoming event. Prizes will be raffled during the event. If you are interested in donating to this event, please send me an email (info@liberiangirls.org).
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Liberian Girls Book Battle, a voluntary reading incentive program for students, primarily girls, in grades 2-8. The purpose is simply to encourage female students to read good books and have fun while competing with peers. Teams from participating schools will compete for the top prize - ONE YEAR TUITION. In addition, books donated will be given to the winning team's school library.

Monrovia, Liberia - Liberian Girls Book Battle
The Battle is set for November 14, 2009!
As part of our Closing the Gap Initiative, The Association for the Advancement of Liberian Girls will host an All Girls Book Battle on November 14, 2009. The Book Battle is a voluntary reading incentive program for students, primarily girls, in grades 2-8. The purpose is simply to encourage female students to read good books and have fun while competing with peers.
